About Rage
John Macchia is the founder and president of the Ramapo Rage. The team is based out of the Town of Ramapo, in Rockland County, New York.
John is a retired NYPD detective and Police Athletic League volunteer. He manages the 16u team. John is married with two daughters and his "love of the game" was passed on to both of his girls. After coaching them for many years he grew tired of the politics and "daddyball". He founded Rage with the intent of allowing each player to earn their positions on the team.
Rage is a not-for-profit organization that puts the interest of the players and their families first. Team rosters are limited to ensure more playing time and provide the girls with better instruction during practices.
